Re: He will Guide you into All Truth
I will seek the will of the Spirit of God through, or in connection
with, the Word of God. The Spirit and the Word must be combined. If I
look to the Spirit alone without the Word, I lay myself open to great
delusions also. If the Holy Ghost guides us at all, He will do it
according to the Scriptures and never contrary to them. --George Muller
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether
they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the
world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses
that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, (1 John 4:1-2)
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is
antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son
does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the
Father also. (1 John 2:22-23)
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone
who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this
we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His
commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His
commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. (1 John 5:1-3)
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you
into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but
whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
(John 16:13)
