Re: Send me, too.

And Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said, Please let me run, and I will bear
news to the king. For Jehovah has vindicated him from the hand of his
enemies. And Joab said to him, You are not a man of tiding today. But
you shall bear tiding another day. (And Joab sends Cushi to tell David
of Absalom's death) And Ahimaaz..said yet again to Joab, Yet whatever
may be, please let me run..also. And Joab said, Why is this that you
are running, my son? Also for you there are no tidings found.
(2Sam18:19-22)

Well, Ahimaaz whines a bit more and Joab then relents and says, "run"
and he finds a shortcut and gets to David first. And what does his
message boil down to? "I saw the great tumult, at the sending away of
the servant of the king, even your servant sent by Joab, but I DO NOT
KNOW WHAT." (vs29)

Let me go, let me run, let me be a messenger! But he had no message!
But he makes claim that Joab "sent" him. But he had not! He has no
message, and is a liar.

There are many messengers today just like Ahimaaz. God did not send
them, but they proclaim, "I have dreamed, I have dreamed" (Jer23:25)
but their proclamations are "lies in [God's] name". "The prophets
prophesy lies in My name. I did not send them and I have not commanded
them, nor did I speak to them. They prophesy to you a false vision, and
a worthless divination, and the deceit of their heart" (Jer14:14)

And notice the nature of these lies: "they say, Sword and famine shall
not be in this land:" (vs15) God will not judge. They are full of
treachery, self-indulgence, doing all sorts of evil. They do not care
for the truly needy, but make themselves fat. (Jer5:25-28) The evil
they have learned to do, they "do it well". (Mic7:3) "An astounding and
horrible thing has happened in the land. The prophets prophesy falsely,
and the priest bear rule by their hands; and My people love it so.."
(Jer5:30-31) While the evil may originate from the pulpits, the people
want it that way, because they are "-bent- on backsliding from [God]."
(Hos11:7)

There are many self-proclaimed preachers. Many who think it's a good
idea to host a website. Some get large mailing lists. Pastors -have-
large mega-churches. They speak of 'my' ministry, 'my' mailing list,
'my' church, 'my' sermons, 'my' books... you get the picture. But they
have no message. The message they have is like Ahimaaz... Long live the
king! Praise the Lord! Oh you wonderful people. We are going to make
you feel good. Let's pump you up and get your batteries charged up.
And bring everybody in so we can build a larger building and have large
offerings. Let's get these programs going. Live long and prosper. So,
next Sunday... "y'all come back now, y'hear!"

But they have no message. Wellll, errr...there was a lot of confusion
(doctrine). Sin (Absalom) was being put to death (Col3:5, Rom8:13) but
I don't know all about those complex issues. All these doctrines are so
"judgmental", they are so "negative" and I prefer not to know about
that and don't like to talk about 'hell', and can't tell you what the
Bible says about Truth. But, Praise the Lord! "Peace! ..Blessed be
Jehovah your God.." (2Sam18:28) You see, these do not belong to the
Lord. Ahimaaz refers to Him as -your- God. These 'messengers' today
serve a different master!

What does God say?

"I have not sent the prophets, yet they ran; I have not spoken to them,
yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in My counsel and had
caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned them
from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings." (Jer23:21-22)

Amen!
