Re: the Same for Everyone

"All who are natives shall do these things in this manner...and if a
stranger sojourns with you...and would present an offering...just as
you do, so shall he do...One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly
and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a perpetual ordinance
throughout your generations; as it is for you, so shall it be for the
sojourner before Jehovah. One law and one custom shall be for you and
for the stranger who sojourns with you." (Num15:13-16)

Much ado is often made of the -differences- between "Jew & Gentile". By
the time Jesus was on earth in the form of "flesh and blood" (Heb2:14)
the Jews had so alienated Gentiles from the Faith, and looked down upon
them, that Jesus took up on their attitudes, and spoke (tongue-in-cheek)
of the "dogs" (Mt15:26) that were not deserving of His assistance.

But remember in the preceeding Portion, that the "one goat" was present
throughout the entire year of Israel's pilgrimage Feasts. The 'goat'
for the "sin offering". For the feasts representing Israel in the O.T.,
and progressing to the N.T. Church. Salvation has always been by God's
Grace through Faith (Eph2:8-9) in His Son, Jesus Christ. (Jn1:12)

And contrary to popular belief in some circles, God's salvation is not
limited to certain "elect few". God's purpose is not that "-ANY- should
perish, but that -ALL- should come to repentance." (2Pet3:9)

Sometimes we have observed that any non-Jew in O.T. times essentially
"became a Jew" when they came to God, because in order to participate
in things like Passover, they were to be circumcised. (Ex12:48)

But it was not so much a matter of "becoming" a "Jew", but of being
obedient to God. Only, God had given His Word to Israel for
safekeeping. (Rom3:1-2) God did not give Israel a set of occultish
"oracles" (KJV), but His Word. So, the entire -nation- of Israel was
designed to be God's messenger to propagate God's Law to the world. And
so, God is commanding...when a "stranger" (non-Jew) wishes to worship
God, the laws, ordinances and statutes given to Israel -also- applied
to the non-Jew.

Well, isn't this what also applies to the Church? Paul exhorts that we
all be "in the same mind and in the same judgment" (1Cor1:10), because
it is "one" God, "one" Faith, "one" Spirit, "one" body. (Eph4:4-6)
God is "One" (De6:4), and gave -only- "one" Law. And Scripture only
records "one" Judgment, by which "all" humanity will be judged.
(Rev20:12-13)

There is 'no' provision for "all (different) faiths" getting together
and mushing it all up together. I was reading something just last night
about certain pagan occultists/satanists...that many of them dabble in
many different disciplines...into religions of India, American Indian,
voo-doo, as well as their straight "satanism" and various occult
beliefs. But then, they are bound by their "deceiving spirits and
doctrines of demons" (1Tm4:1), of whom there are 'many'.

But God is "One". (De6:4)

There has never been a time in history when Jews were saved "one way"
and Gentiles, "another". Now, when Israel began doing what the
so-called "church" today does, embracing many "different" beliefs and
doctrines, agreeing on the "essentials" (offering animals), and
agreeing to disagree on other things (e.g. -which- 'god' are we
worshiping?), that God judged Israel and dispersed them throughout the
world. One of the first Laws was "you shall have no other gods before
Me". (Ex20:3) When today's so-called "church" embraces many different
doctrines and/or throws out consideration of any doctrine, in order to
fellowship with those who are "spirit-filled" (demon-possessed), they
are disobeying God's command for all claiming to worship God, to do so
in the same manner; following the -same- Word of God, obeying the
-same- Law, teaching the -same- DOCTRINE.

Israel was judged and punished. What, do you suppose, is due today's
so-called "church"!

Forget about 'graaaeeeessss'! "Anyone who rejected Moses' Law dies
without mercy before two or three witnesses. Of how much worse
punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled
on the Son of God, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was
sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of Grace? For we
know Him who has said, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.
And again, The LORD will judge His people. It is a fearful thing to
fall into the hands of the living God." (Heb10:28-31)

Amen!
