Re: from Peter
spiritual confusion, oppression, warfare, pretenders

VW is not like the 'big' organizations that boast of receiving emails by the tens-of-thousands. On the other hand I sometimes wonder about those "thousands", whether those numbers are as big as bragged about.

There are news networks that truly -are- larger, and when I occasionally e-mail a writer I get nearly 'immediate' replies...as in...their reader base isn't so big that they weren't able to reply. I'm saying all this to say that emails that come into the VW inbox are -NOT- "by the thousands". Sometimes somebody writes, almost apologetically, for "bothering" me when I must (surely?) be innundated by email. Nope. Nothing like that. But there is a steady pitter patter of communications....and if everybody else, who doesn't write, is anything like those who -do- write, from the law-of-averages, there is a lot of spiritual confusion, spiritual warfare oppression, satanic opposition, and frustration dealing with 'pretenders'. And typically, if some of you express certain things, I've already been experiencing them, too; and so, I will write about them. Not out of 'pride', but rather... if something is addressing a particular issue for me, then perhaps it is for however-many-of-you, too...??

As many talk about sensing the enemy lately, it is sometimes easy to become emotionally distraught. But how do we deal with it? Both with emotional assurance and spiritual fortitude.

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, CASTING ALL YOUR ANXIETY UPON HIM, BECAUSE HE CARES ABOUT YOU. BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL WALKS ABOUT LIKE A ROARING LION, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the SAME AFFLICTIONS ARE EXPERIENCED BY YOUR BRETHREN IN THE WORLD. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and might forever and ever. Amen. (1Pt5:6-11)
Do you think I repeat this sort of thing too much?
"Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up with reminders" (2Pt1:13)
Amen!
