Re: Denying God?
"Woe to those who are profound to hide their counsel from Jehovah! And their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? And, Who knows us? O your perversity! Shall the former be esteemed as the potter’s clay; for shall the product say of him who made it, He did not make me? Or shall the thing formed say to him who formed it, He has had no understanding?" (Is29:15-16)
"Woe to him who strives with the One who formed him, a potsherd among the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to the one who forms it, What are you making? Or your work, He has no hands? Woe to him who says to his father, What are you begetting? Or to the woman, What are you writhing over?" (Is45:9-10)
"No, rather, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, Why have you made me like this? Does not the potter have authority over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor?" (Rom9:20-21)
"Understand, you stupid ones among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? He who chastens the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge? Jehovah knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity." (Ps94:8-11)
"For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is clearly recognized by them, for God has revealed it to them. For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they know God, they do not glorify Him as God, nor are thankful, but become vain in their reasonings, and their stupid hearts are darkened. Professing to be wise, they become foolish," (Rom1:18-22)
"For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law... (for when Gentiles...by nature do the things in the Law, these, although not having the Law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts meanwhile accusing or else excusing themselves) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ..." (~Rom2:12-16)
