Re: Jesus...Who? Deity

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (Jn1:1)

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." (Mt 1:23)

Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham came to be, I AM. Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus was hidden and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (Jn8:58)

I and the Father are One. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me? The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a man, make Yourself God. (Jn10:30-33)

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins. (Jn8:24)

Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how do you say, Show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from Myself; but the Father who abides in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me; or if not, believe Me on account of the works themselves." (Jn14:8-11)

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person (Col 1:15 & Heb 1:3)

Remember the former things from a long time ago; for I am the Mighty God, and there is no other; I am God, and no one else is like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from antiquity things which are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure; (Is46:9-10)

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Rev 1:8)

But to the Son He says: Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. (Heb1:8) (VW)
