" Creation or Intelligent Design? "

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Ge1:1)

"By faith we understand that the universe was prepared by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen did not come into existence from things which are visible... But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Heb11:3,6)

"O Jehovah, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions... to Him who by wisdom made the heavens, for His mercy is eternal" (Ps104:24, 136:5)

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not lay hold of it." (Jn1:1-5)

In November, 2005 Dover, MA voted for a schoolboard made up totally of evolutionists, ousting what had been a pro creationist leaning board. It made national headlines. And Pat Robertson also got into the act and said to them, publicly over the media, "Don't turn to God...if disaster strikes...you just voted God out"

This past February 12, the anniversary of Charles Darwin's birthday, public TV had a so-called documentary on the events leading up to that election: The machinations of the 'creationist' crowd to introduce a creationist book "Of Pandas and People" into the curriculum, and the court case that questioned these people, and the agenda of the evolution side to oust any mention of God from school, to "keep religion out of school", to keep the (so-called) "science of evolution" in school, and the judge's decision that sided with the evolutionists. They cited things like the "first amendment" and the "establishment clause".

The First Amendment supposedly guarantees "free speech"; except when atheists want to muzzle Christians and 'religion'; they then cite the "establishment clause", which they claim creates a "wall of separation" between church and state. Truth is that the establishment clause does no such thing, but merely states that: the government shall not establish a state religion, nor prohibit any citizen from exercising their own religion, whatever that religion might be. And of course, "free speech" then allows any citizen to freely express -what- their religion is, and the nature of their own beliefs to any willing hearers.

Thus, due to twistings of our constitution we have a situation where so-called "christians" cannot voice their own beliefs in any government sponsored/supported institutions (like schools); but due to the twistings of the unbelievers, Islam (the predominant religion of Arabs) is taught in schools as "cultural" studies. But they will not allow for Christianity to be acknowledged, even 'culturally'.

With that as introduction, let's look at this 2005 Dover case. Let's look at the (so-called) "christians" of Dover, and why they lost the case. And, let it be understood: I have never been to Dover, MA, nor met any of those involved; I have no axe to grind regarding anybody there. What we address here is based solely on what the Public TV documentary depicted, which was obvious, even seen through the haze of the twistings of the atheistic agenda-driven evolutionists.

The so-called "christians" of Dover were deceitful liars, and they deserved to lose. There! It's been said! The Darwinians did not 'win' the case, so much as the Creationists forfeited theirs by their own subterfuge. The christians (if that's what they are) forgot that:

"..the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (manipulatively deceptive) but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds" (2Co10:4)
Even with the agenda-driven strong-arming of the atheist attorneys, it was obvious that they had "got" the christians in their own deception. They were shown squirming and sputtering on the witness stand; trying to maintain the lie, but being forced to tell the truth.

As best as I could tell from the documentary, the creationists lost because they were trying to -sneak- in "creationism" into the schools, by instead calling it "intelligent design". These were the questions being put to the creationists, and the gist of the judge's verdict: that creationism is a "religion", and that the christians were equating, in their own minds, that "intelligent design" and "creation" were the same thing; but presenting them to the community as being different, in order to gain the community's acceptance.

In other words, the christians were attempting the same thing the apostate 'church' has been engaged in for the past six decades, or more. EVANGELISM BY STEALTH. Evangelism that entices the world to the meetings by entertainment with rock bands. One-on-one witnessing that pretends to be taking a "survey", and then 'slip into the conversation' the name Jesus Christ and His "friendship" potential. Alluring to a "better life". And all the myriads of methods by which the world is attempted to be lured in WITHOUT ACTUALLY TELLING THEM THEY ARE SINNERS, and IN NEED OF REPENTANCE and a SAVIOR. Evangelism by stealth. Evangelism by deceit!

In the case of personal evangelism, the sinner merely scoffs and rejects. In the case of Dover, the christians figuratively got their backsides whooped; and deservedly so!

What is "intelligent design"? If you are reading this, it means you have access to computer technology. Does it not require a great deal of 'intelligence' to 'design' and program a computer. To send satellites and probes into outer space requires a massive amount of intelligence. To set up (design) one's garden each year, organizing the rows and hills, requires thought (intelligence). Even a sparrow, when building its nest to lay eggs and procreate, requires intelligence; even if only at the level of a bird-brain. Those pieces of grass, twigs, scraps of cloth, do not assemble themselves BY CHANCE... given enough time.

Intelligence leads to 'organization'. Something like wind, blowing randomly, leads to chaos, as leaves and debris are left scattered willy nilly. But after the storm, intelligence comes along with a broom and blower and cleans away the mess.

Science is based on intelligence. It investigates the 'design' of living or inanimate matter. It organizes elements into charts, and creates formulae by which it explains the orderly behavior of intellectually predictable and quantifiable events and outcomes. Science and intelligence works with matter and life THAT EXISTS. It's already there. It takes these materials, manipulates them, and -makes- some new object or discharge of energy, which is seen, felt and measured...quantified. The origin is known, the process is understood/observed, and the outcome is recorded. The conclusion does not manifest itself, unless the preparations are made and the process is "started" or "begun". Science, by definition, is a process of "intelligence". There is no way to teach science, scientifically, and it NOT be "intelligent design". That is the -nature- of science.

On the other hand, both creationism and evolution, as thoughts on -origin-, must be accepted on faith. With evolution there is no known/recorded origin. There is the -speculation- of an alleged "big bang". Nobody saw it, so it is not recorded. There is the theory that life automatically formed itself, without any outside stimulus, from chemicals that just -happened- to form together at the right moment and in the right circumstances. But there is no evidence or documentation, nor that this life then miraculously continually mutated from one species to another. For that too, there is no quantifiable or recorded scientific evidence. There is ample fossil evidence for the different species that exist. But there is no scientifically quantifiable proof of the 'transitional' forms, to prove the theory. And so, to accept these theories requires an unimaginable amount of 'faith'. If there is no physical proof, but one believes it... is that not a definition of "faith"? And is faith not the foundation of religion? -Any- religion?

On the other hand Creationism provides all sorts of quantifications. The One who claims to have done it, also documented the play-by-play of the Creation Week. The Creator also provided a 'Manual' for creation's operation. And wherever this 'Manual' makes predictions for the future, everything to date has come to pass, just as the Manual states.

This Creator says that He...

"[declares] the end from the beginning, and from antiquity things which are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure" (Is46:10)
And to any challenging entities He makes the counter-challenge:
"Make known the things to come after this, so that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do good, or do evil, so that we may anxiously watch it together." (Is41:23)
With most technical devices, the manufacturer also includes an operation manual: ranging from a detailed book, down to the simplest piece of paper or stuck-on label.

For the Creation model, the Creator (manufacturer) provides the Manual. For Evolution, there is no such model. Creation has been understood for 6000 years. Evolution is scarcely less than two centuries old, as a belief system.

Evolution claims that order devised itself out of chaos, without any -personal- being involved. That something came from nothing, period. Even the non-religious world knows better than this. In their love-duet Count Von-Trapp and Maria sing, "Nothing comes from nothing, nothing ever could...."

But the Creator proclaims that even chaos has an origin, and even certain chaos is from God....

"But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess [Zion]; the owl also, and the raven, shall dwell in it. And He shall stretch out over it the LINE OF CHAOS, AND THE STONES OF EMPTINESS." (Is34:11)
Truly... Creationism presupposes Deity, who proclaims His own existence. He proclaims that His creation proclaims His own existence...
"The heavens declare the glory of the Mighty God; and the firmament proclaims His handiwork..." (Ps19:1)

"For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse," (Rom1:20)

Everything science teaches, cause-and-effect, points to a "creator". If there is a -creation-, some ONE or some THING had to create it. True Science is based on cause-and-effect. The scientific method presupposes observation, measurements, quantifications and the repeatability of theories with repeatably predictable outcomes.

The basis of Godly Faith is the acknowledgment of the existence of the One who created all things. And indeed, the way the world speaks of things, the belief in any 'deity' is "religion".

The basis for evolution is Nothing. NOBODY was out there to push the "start" button for the big-bang. NOBODY was in charge to direct the progression of events. There is NO PROOF for anything. But it is to be -believed- as alleged 'fact'. Faith.

FAITH... in what? A Deity who claims to have left proof of His existence, and what He alleges is that "proof"... humanity and all that surrounds and sustains us. That which surrounds us of obvious "intelligent" design. (Ac17:24-26)

Or... the observation of humanity and all that surrounds and sustains us, of obvious "intelligent" design... but NOBODY is "in charge"..?? Does not "intelligence" presuppose the object and origin of that intelligence?

The existence of God is the prime Foundation of Faith... -that- He exists. The proof of His existence is His creation. (Heb11:6,3) We, even contemplating these kinds of thoughts, by our very contemplations, are proof of God's existence, that we, -reasoning- (Is1:18) such things, were made in His "image". (Gen1:27)

And... God -used- "intelligence" (wisdom) to -design- His creation. But -are- God and intelligence one and the same? Is a computer Godly? Are those communications satellites in geosynchronous orbit... God?

You see...there -is- a difference between Creationism (by God), and Intelligent design. It might be theoretically possible to have had somebody intelligently design the creation who was not God. God could have looked to some other being, to whom He designated the task to create the universe. Oh...that's right...He did. Jesus Christ. (Heb1:2) But... Jesus Christ -is- God. (Hebrews ch1) By God's own definition of Himself, the opening words of His "Manual": GOD CREATED. (Ge1:1)

And so... as Christians know, it is impossible to consider Intelligent Design without eventually acknowledging God.

But in the Dover case, -both- sides were in error. The atheists seek to get rid of any mentions of God, the Creator. The christians sought to "sneak in" God by introducing Intelligent Design... pretending it was NOT "God", when they believe it is.

In Truth... if a school system seeks to teach science, scientifically, they -must- start from the scientific observations which will naturally reveal Intelligent Design. Science, by its nature, is based on intelligence. It observes cause and effect of the visible universe. If they purport to teach -pure- "science", then TEACH SCIENCE, and leave "religion out"... -both- "creationism" -and- "darwinianism". They are -both- "faith-based" -belief- systems. By the world's view: Religion.

But as science reveals things like fossils in sedimentation strata, will there not be the natural curiosities as to -how- they formed. What is its origin? That, then, begins the starting point to investigate God or no-god. If it is God, the case for Noah's flood will be presented. If Darwin, the case for B'zillions of years. (Oh yes...the Creator also predicted that they would teach 'uniformitarianism', the foundation and core to evolution (2Pt3:4) 1800 years before they did so) And as science observes all the other things science investigates, if it is truly an institution of learning, world's style, they will philosophically argue the 'logic' of -both- sides: both Creationism (by God) -AND- Big-bang (no God). And then, as they debate the evidence, as they typically like to say...

May the best Man win!

However, those of the religion of Darwin proclaim their alleged "winner" without even allowing true debate. They lock the opposition outside, and squelch its voice...

But...

"the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who -SUPPRESS- THE TRUTH in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God IS CLEARLY RECOGNIZED BY THEM, for God has revealed it to them." (Rom1:18-19)
And of that which they think is evidence for evolution?
"For of this they are -WILLFULLY- IGNORANT: that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same Word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men." (2Pt3:5-7)
So again: Let them teach Pure Science of that which exists, without any religious component. Leave -both- Creationism and Darwinianism out. Then if they wish, have philosophical discussions of logic, and debate where that which exists might have originated. Yes... even bring in Biblical scholars and Atheist experts to give speeches, to present both sides as thoroughly as possible. God is not afraid of debate!

And then... may the best Man win!

Amen!
