"The World's Gone Mad!"

Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? (Ps2:1) The chariots rage in the streets, They jostle one another in the broad roads; They seem like torches, They run like lightning. (Nahum 2:4) As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them."(Isa3:12a) And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, "We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel; Only let us be called by your name, To take away our reproach." (Isa 4:1)

From lying presidents to militant dictators, the world is becoming a precarious place. Claiming "peace peace" Islamic nations systematically go about dismantling God's chosen nation, as Jerusalem is the "burdensome stone." Iron Curtains come down, while the US sells arms to former enemies. These enemies, meanwhile, are building up their military in unprecedented proportions, getting ready for the prophesied attempted invasion of Israel.

Traffic has become frantic, and that pushy little red car will now, likely as not, be piloted by an "empowered" feminist, as traffic whizzes by. Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!

It is OK to kill babies by the most cruel means & to assist people in suicide, and man's livelihood must give way to the environment. Children are allowed to "express" themselves with violent behavior and insubordination to authority, but a person defending himself and family against these thugs is in jeopardy of prison.

Sexual intermingling is of epidemic proportions. Taking a stand by refusing to do business for activists, can now be grounds for legal assault. This perversion even makes headlines, involving the "church."

Isaiah says, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;" (Isa 5:20)

Mothers no longer fulfill their God given nurturing roles. While science, in which they trust, affirms the benefits of natural feeding of babies, it now offers them the option to milk themselves like cows, so they can continue in their selfish careers, apart from the headship of a husband, and the physical intimate nurturing the baby needs. They only want the man to "take away their reproach"(Isa4:1) ...give them sex... but continue in their rebellion.

How long will you gad about, O you backsliding daughter? For the LORD has created a new thing in the earth; A woman shall encompass a man."(Jer 31:22)

"And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.(Mat 24:12)

As I interact with customers I often note a sense of frenzy. There is unhappiness with the way things are. There seems to be no solution to the world's woes. In some cases, a person can see despair. The time is ripe for a world leader to arise and offer HOPE and SOLUTIONS to all the world's ills.

There was another time in history like this. The Romans were in control of the world. God's people, Israel, were feeling the crunch. And a Leader arose. Jesus Christ was born to a lowly virgin. Grew up. And died on the cross to save the world.

Why did He do this? Israel, just like the world today, was looking for physical solutions to their problems. They wanted relief for their economy. They wanted freedom from the Romans. They needed healing for the sick. But the need they were blind to was their need for a Savior.

If we backtrack a bit, we would ask the question, "Why?" Why do all the problems exist? The answer is simple. SIN. As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one. The wages of sin is death" (Rom 3:10-12,6:23)

BUT..."God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16) For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.(Rom 5:6)

To those who believe in Christ, Jesus promises, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.(Jn 14:27) He further assures, "in Me you have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."(Jn16:33)

Unity that the world is craving, but which eludes them so, is available In Christ. Jesus prayed FOR HIS BELIEVERS, "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me."(Jn17:21) This, now, is an ACCOMPLISHED FACT to those IN CHRIST.

A world leader is going to arise. But, among other things, there are two things which will distinguish him from Jesus Christ. First, he will be seeking power and glory for himself. "Opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2Th 2:4)

By contrast, Jesus came and gave Himself, "but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant...He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.(Phil 2:7-8) And said further, "I lay down My life...no one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself" (Jn10:17-18)

The other difference: the antichrist will come killing. "He was granted power...and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.(Rev 13:15)

In stark contrast, Jesus said, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

The first time Jesus came, lowly, born in a manger. Unlike earthly rulers who attempt to live as long as possible, Jesus' PRIMARY MISSION was TO DIE.

He is coming again, this time "in a cloud with power and great glory."(Lk 21:27) And, instead of a stable; "as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Mat 24:27)

The first needful thing is to be found "IN CHRIST...a new creation; old things have passed away; ...all things have become new. (2Cor 5:17)

Then, to be faithful in Service TO CHRIST, "Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot..blameless" (2 Pet 3:14)

Do not follow the various pied pipers who cavort about in "chris- tian" labels calling for "unity." "O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths."(Is3:12b) "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or obedience leading to righteousness? (Rom 6:16)

Jesus Christ is coming again... soon! Are you ready?

"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.(Mat 25:13)

Amen!
