Further Comments on Unity:

There are only Two "levels" of "spirituality." Lost and Saved. Either a person is In Christ, or he isn't. "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God" (Rom 8:16) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2Cor 5:17)

Whenever Jesus prayed for something to happen, It Was Accomplished. He did it. In John 17 He prayed for unity for ALL who would believe in Him... "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;"(John 17:20)

On the cross He cried out, "It is finished." At that very moment He was declaring that the work He came to this world to accomplish, was now ful- filled. Including...Unity of Believers. "For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation" (Eph 2:14)

Further, He prayed, "I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours." (Jn17:9) In other words, this Unity is NOT INTENDED for Un-Believers.

Jesus in Mt7:16 stated that "You will know them by their fruits." If you find yourself in a situation where there is lack of unity in Christ, you can be assured of one of several possibilities: 1) People in the group are not IN CHRIST; 2) You are not IN CHRIST; or 3) The whole group are not IN CHRIST.

If you see organizations that undergo "Campaigns for Unity" and engage in "dialogue" regarding "How-to" accomplish this, you can KNOW, with certain- ty, that they are not IN CHRIST. By definition.

"For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body...and have all been made to drink into one Spirit."(1Cor 12:13) "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling one Lord, onefaith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Eph 4:4-6)
