" UFO Madness "

A local regional city was on our news last evening. Apparently a "Marian Apparition" at a highway junction directional sign. TV cameras showed people gathering around. By the time 11 o'clock news rolled around, people in ritual attire (possibly Native American?) were in a circle, dancing around this...TRAFFIC SIGN!! Today the "shrine" is complete with flowers and candles! Sigh!

Ever since the mass-suicide of the Heaven's Gate cult, the media has been having quite a frenzie on this subject of apparitions, cults and UFO's. It seems they are bringing to light many formerly obscure groups.

Common themes have their variations among these groups. 1) The members are merely residents in their earthly bodies. 2) They look for an afterlife which far surpasses that on this world, 3) Expecting to leave this earth to join an other-worldly host/life in some spiritual experience. Currently, many of these cults expect that UFO's will be the mode of transportation to that after-life.

What a deception from the Prince of this world! Do you see the "similarities" to what the Bible teaches, and Christians believe and expect?

1) Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? (1Cor6:19) The Christian does not claim ownership of his own body or life. We are "citizens of heaven."(Phil 3:20)

2) And expect to be going there, as Jesus promised to come and "receive" us into His presence. (Jn14:3)

3) The means of getting there is quite something supernatural. "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body....(Phil 3:20-21)

Many of the cults use the Bible. They will speak of Yahweh. A spiritual experience/apparition and blind obedience of their (earthly) leader, who often claims to be the Messiah. "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it. "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Mat 24:23-24)

Having quite an interest in space travel and NASA's programs, and being a "regular" at watching series such as Star Trek, Voyager, DS9, Babylon 5, etc. I have had quite a fascination regarding this whole UFO phenomenon. Wondering for years "if there could, possibly, be life on other worlds; and are they now visiting us?"

After reading some things, my own observations have since borne out the validity of what I read... Observe carefully: 1) Stories of UFO abductions come out of hypnosis-induced "memories." And, when interviews are done with UFO "experts" you will notice that 2) they are invariably connected in some way to the occult, or are psychics.

So, what about the film footage documenting "alien autopsies?" There was an interview just a few days ago, I saw while channel flipping, with a Hollywood special effects person. The "alien" used in that "documentary" was actually a film "prop" from a movie. A hoax!

But, in spite of documentation to the contrary, the UFO mania continues and grows. The media carries it along, to where everyone is UFO "aware." (Proclaim it long and loud enough, and it BECOMES "fact") Yes, there is a UFO phenomenon..and it is "spiritual" in nature. But NOT of the Holy Spirit.

Add to this, the media's scrounging for off-beat "Christian" groups, having an unbeliever break away, telling of all the horrors of the group, because they want to be holy, and this person wants to live a life of debauchery. And then, what of the "preachers" who are caught on tape in places of ill-repute, accused of gang/drug connections. And the militant anti-government groups, thumping the Bible to support their views and crimes.

We have a scenario where the "Truth" is so maligned as to discredit anything that is TRULY of God...that is Christian.

These UFO cults are quite timely. Part of the deception of the End Times. Even though many so-called "christians" are refusing to accept the "Pre-Trib Rapture," Satan knows the truth of the matter very well. As Christ is "at the doors"(Mt24:33) the world is being prepared to believe that the Rapture, when it does happen, is only "another cult" experience. That UFO's came and "transported" these people into their space ships.

When Jesus comes for His own...and it won't be NEARLY as many of some suppose...He won't require a UFO!!

"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep [die], but we shall all be changed--in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye...for the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we [Christians] who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." (1Cor15:51-52, 1Ths4:16-17)

"If anyone has an ear, let him hear."(Rev13:9)
