A Voice in the
"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. "Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes! "Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. (Mt18:6-7,10)
What happens when a baby or little child dies? At what age does a child become "old enough" to be "accountable." The fact that such an age exists in God's eyes seems apparent, "Should I not pity Nineveh..in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left..?"(Jonah4:11)
When David's "baby of sin" died, he said, "I shall go to him.." (2Sam12:23) David, the man of faith, "after God's own heart," would have expected to be with God when he died. Thus, we would say that his baby was in God's presence.
When Paul and Silas replied, "you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts16:31) who is the "household?" Before we answer that, let us also consider God's methods, "The fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall the children be put to death for their fathers; but a person shall die for his own sin." (Chr25:4)
A pivotal passage is 1Cor7:12-16. Paul talks about Believers who are married to unbelievers. The gist of his argument is that the Believer provides, what I would term, an "umbrella of protection" for the rest of the family. The circumstances would seem to be the case where a person comes to faith in Christ while married, but the spouse hasn't. Remaining in the marriage provides the unbeliever a more likely possibililty of coming under the conviction of the Lord, to be saved.
In addition, he says a very interesting thing about the children in vs.14. "Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy." According to the Law, anybody that was not a Jew was "unclean." Alien to God's promises of eternal life. Unclean is a state of not belonging to God. And Paul says of children under the roof where at least "a" parent is a Believer, that they are "holy." This word "holy" comes from "hagios" meaning, literally, a "saint."
I believe we have to understand that anybody of an "age of discernment" is "on his/her own" before God. God calls, and they either receive or reject Him. Below that age (whatever age that may be--perhaps it's different for each child as God knows each one?)(2Tm2:19) the child's state with God is determined by the presence (or absence) of a Believing Parent.
So now, let's get to the horrendous matter of abortion!
The person is formed at conception. (Ps51:5) The male sperm unites with the egg, forming a zygote. That zygote is a "person."
Immorality is terrible. Is of epidemic proportions. I know of one dating-aged girl who is "afraid" to go on a date, because it is "assumed" amongst her peers that "when you date, you have sex." And she doesn't want to.
So, once the immoral act is commited, and there is a new human being, abortion is "murder." God condemns murder with Cain. And re-emphesizes the matter to Noah's decendents after the flood.(Gen9:6-7) He combines the command against murder, with the exhortation to "multiply." Could He possibly also have been referring to abortion in that passage?
However, as awful as they are, the Immoral act and Murder are not the most crucial consideration. When these babies are murdered, what happens to them? Where do they go?
If the mother is not a Believer, THEY ARE "UNCLEAN!!"
N.O.W., Gay Rights, our president, the Supreme Court all militantly promote "women's rights." The "right to choose." Women have rights "over their own bodies."
The issue is NOT the woman's "right to choose."
But the issue is the "ETERNAL DESTINY" of the unborn!
The issue is "Right to Choose" ....the BABY's!!!
As society raises a generation of hoodlums with the argument, "let them make their own choices" about religion, sex, etc...they rob the unborn of the same choice, "to Accept or Reject" Christ, and in so doing DAMN THEM to Eternal Judgment!!
Perhaps this explains the militance with which the Free Choicers campaign for their agenda. It is not "their" agenda, but Satan's, for the souls of the unborn! It is a "Satanic militance" of annihilation so that they CANNOT be saved! When the unborn of the Unsaved are aborted, their doom is sealed. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A CHANCE!!!
Perhaps this explains Jesus' curse upon those "offending" the young, with the word, "WOE!"
May the Lord have pity on the millions of aborted children! May the guilty listen to their consciences for what they have done, and REPENT!!
