To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David
1 The heavens declare the glory of the Mighty God; and the firmament proclaims His
2 Day unto day pours forth speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor words where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the ends of the world.
In them He has set a tent for the sun,
5 which comes forth like a bridegroom out from his chamber; he exults as a strong man
to run a race,
6 going forth from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the ends of it. And there is
nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the Testimony of Jehovah is sure,
making wise the simple.
8 The Statutes of Jehovah are upright, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of
Jehovah are pure, illuminating the eyes.
9 The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and
10 more to be desired than gold, even than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and
11 And Your servant is warned by them; in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? Acquit me of that which is hidden;
13 restrain Your servant from arrogance; do not let them rule over me. Then I shall be
perfect, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight,
O Jehovah, my Rock and my Redeemer.
